Full course description

Upon completion of this course, the health care provider will: 1) be familiar with the history of the culture-change movement that resulted in person-centered care; 2) understand the guiding principles for person-centered care; 3) learn about assessment and individualized care planning; 4) explore the meaning of ethno-geriatrics and its different applications in caring for the older adult; and 5) learn about the social determinants of health.

Accreditation Statement: This activity has received continuing professional nursing education accreditation from the University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing. University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Once successful completion has been verified, a Certificate of Successful Completion will be awarded for 1.75 contact hours.
